The whistleblower service is used to report criminal activities suspected to have been committed, sanctioned, or deliberately overlooked by key persons or persons in leading positions at NorDan UAB.
What is whistleblowing?
Whistleblowing means that a person alerts/reports about misconduct or irregularities within a company, organization, or authority. The purpose of whistleblowing is to detect serious misconduct in workplaces at an early stage so that the right actions can be taken.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
All incoming reports are treated confidentially and are first sent to an independent party that manages NorDan's whistleblower system. If the party deems it appropriate, the report may then be forwarded to the right person at NorDan. Those who handle reported violations are a small group of impartial and independent people within the company who are bound by confidentiality. When you report, you can choose to remain anonymous. However, we encourage you to identify yourself when reporting. If you identify yourself, it is possible for us to quickly initiate a confidential dialogue with you, which can facilitate the investigation of your report. If you identify yourself, we will do everything to keep your identity strictly confidential within the company.

ANONYMITY
As of January 1, 2022, new EU directive come into force regarding the whistleblowing law in Lithuania, which prohibits employers from taking retaliatory actions against those who report serious irregularities. Despite the whistleblower law, fear of retaliation is something that prevents many employees from reporting irregularities they have seen. Through a whistleblower system, security is created for employees who want to report, as the report can be made completely anonymously via a third party. For your report to be completely anonymous, there are some guidelines you should keep in mind:
- Send your report via your home WiFi network or mobile network. When reporting via the company's network, it is easier to trace the report back to you than if you use an external network, even though it would probably never happen.
- Do not leave any contact details. Even if you do not leave any contact details, you can follow up on the matter using the randomly chosen ID and password you are assigned. You will then use the ID and password as login credentials on nordan.integrityline.com
- To be fully assured that your report is anonymous, you can download the Tor-browser. Tor lets your browsing statistics jump between different anonymization servers completely randomly, making the traffic very difficult to trace back to you.
WHAT CAN BE REPORTED?
In the whistleblower system, you can report serious conditions, such as bribery, extortion, embezzlement, theft, accounting irregularities, etc.
Issues such as bullying, dissatisfaction with salaries, breaches of alcohol policy, etc., should not be reported here. They should instead be reported through the usual channels.
